can the camera be used to count objects going by?

• maybe tally the reds/greens
  
• maybe include speed statistic (pix/sec)
  
• with manual focus (i hope), and image row select.

• even if its just a count of beam breakages
  

cameras may have interleaved colours on one axis, the other may be ultimately easier
edt: will need custom exposures for flexible capture rates (adds tearing)

At the moment, the camera is only available in the Android test version (iOS hopefully follows later this month). You can see what the new stopwatches could do at https://bildung.social/@phyphox/112575842970238676, triggers on color or brightness are already possible. More currently depends on your file format skills.
