Kundt's tube
#1
We want to use Phyphox to measure the speed of sound in a Kundt's tube. By calculating the FTT of the sound produced by tapping on the tube, we qualitatively find the eigenmodes.
To improve experiment, we would like to either average the spectra obtained by several manipulations, or increase the duration of the sample by acquiring several buffers. It's possible ?
Thank You.

Does “acquiring several buffers” mean something like the “Historique” tab, however, just as raw data?

Have you already tried to record the response to white noise (check the bottom of the “Paramètre” tab)?

Exactly.

We want to record impulse response, but it seems to be a good idea.
I'll try this...

you can obtain a very nice spectrum using the acoustic resonance application. Some examples can be found in this forum.
