Iphone built in screen recording does not include ambient sound. For now i’ve had to film the phone with another phone next to a audio level meter used to calibrate to provide sound to the readings, this is a hazzle. I would love a feature where the decibel measurement was able to record a sound file simultaneously, or even better; that a screen recording included the sounds measured. Also, in expanded view the graph could show the number reading and calibration status, even in small type.
I am not entirely sure that I understand the request fully. This is about the iPhone's screen recording app being able to record sound, right? This might be affected by phyphox currently not setting the flag that allows the system to mix the app's audio session with other audio sessions. It is on our todo list to allow this in the next version. However, I cannot guarantee that this resolves the issue as phyphox uses the measurement recording mode, which might still be incompatible with some other applications, so we will have to see when we changed this.
Showing other information in the expanded graph view is currently not possible as the graph is supposed to fill the screen, hiding all other view elements. However, unless you need interactivity with the graph and only want a larger graph, you might want to try and open the experiment configuration and just change the aspect ratio of the graph. Unfortunately, the last version of the editor introduced a bug, which will currently prevent you from doing this yourself, so I have attached a version of Audio Amplitude with a larger graph. Let me know if you need a different variant.
